Men's Tennis Picks Up Win Over Saint Joe's, Falls To Temple And Lehigh

The Richmond men's tennis team picked up a win over conference foe, Saint Joe's, 5-2 over the weekend. The Spiders were downed in matches with both Temple and Lehigh.
Richmond got its points from A.J. Nelson and Jesse Feder defeated Filip Rams and Trey Hairston, 8-6.
"Temple played a good match," said head coach Ben Johnson. "However, we have to learn to over-come difficult situation."

Richmond got a big win over conference foe Saint Joe's by a 5-2 count and was led by clutch play in doubles, as the Spiders swept the Hawks.
"Tonight we played good fundamental doubles," said Johnson. "It was encouraging to see the guys having fun and competing hard. I hope several of our guys take some confidence from this match."

"Going into the match, we were tired and had a few injuries," said Johnson. "Overall, I thought Lehigh played the big points better than us. We had opportunities on three courts to either take the set or match and all three went against us. It was a tough match and a good learning experience." Lehigh 6, Richmond 1
