The Richmond men's tennis team was clipped by JMU 4-3 Thursday afternoon at the Westhampton Courts.
Richmond got picked up its point in doubles from No. 2 tandem Will Minter and Dylan Schrode's win over Tommi Maaranen/Yarolsav Voznenko (JMU), 8-6.
Reigning A-10 Player of the Week Sebastien Fauchet continued his winning ways with another dominant performance--this time a win over JMU's No. 1 Mike Smith (JMU), 6-1, 6-4.
The Spiders got two more victories in singles from A.J. Nelson and Dylan Schrode. Nelson downed his opponent, Voznenko (JMU), 4-6, 6-4, 10-6, while Schrode handled Milic (JMU), 7-5, 7-6(5).
JMU took the doubles point and got three pivotal wins in singles play to edge the Spiders.
Richmond returns to action this weekend with Winston-Salem State, West Virginia State and North Carolina Central.
