Men's Tennis Splits Weekend Play

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -
The Richmond men's team notched a 5-2 win over conference foe, Saint Joseph's Friday but was edged by Charlotte 4-3 on Saturday.
The Spiders got stellar play from No.1 Sebastien Fauchet, who went undefeated in singles and doubles play this weekend. Fauchet posted a big win over Michael Stauble (St. Joe's) - 6-4, 6-1 and Moritz Bernhoerster (UNCC) - 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
Richmond swept the doubles point Friday with the tandems of Will Minter/Fauchet, A.J. Nelson/Jesse Feder and Dylan Schrode/Justin Baker all recording wins.
In singles action Friday, Fauchet, Feder, Minter and Schrode notched wins.
In Saturday's match against Charlotte, Minter/Fauchet recorded the lone win for the Spiders.
Fauchet, Feder and Nelso picked up wins in the singles category, but it wasn't enough as Charlotte edged the Spiders, 4-3.
Richmond returns to action Thursday at Temple at 9:00 a.m.
