The Richmond women's tennis team topped UMBC 6-1 to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Spiders cruised through singles, sweeping virtually all six positions, while the doubles pairs won handily.
"This was our first match where we were tested under pressure. I was impressed with our ability to execute clutch shots when it was on the line. Alex Smyth and Isabel Arana were especially strong from start to finish. I think it helped their teammates to see that they were in control."
The Spiders battle conference foe GW next Saturday at 2:00 at Montaclair Community College.
