CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
The men's tennis team fell to Charlotte, 7-0 Saturday afternoon at Charlotte. Richmond continues its weekend play with Winston-Salem State and North Carolina Central.
In singles action, the 49ers swept the match column, despite a valiant effort by Will Minter. The No. 2 Minter battled Charlotte's Michael Anders, but fell 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6).
In doubles action, No. 3 Matt Feeley/Will Minter were barely edged by Anders/Mirza Beciragic 9-8, (7-5).
The Spiders return home to host Navy Saturday at noon.
