
Men's Tennis Ties For Ninth Place In A-10 Tournament

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -
The men's tennis team downed La Salle 4-0 to tie for ninth place at the A-10 Tournament in Philadelphia, Pa. Richmond dominated the doubles point and swept the singles category.
In doubles action, No. 2 Sam Hyland/Dylan Schrode downed Morgan Abrams Nicholas/Chris Harvey, 8-2 while Rafael Arana/Matt Feeley shut out Bill Nason/Andrew Petrusky, 8-0.
In singles play, three Spiders recorded victories, while the other three Spiders did not finish. Freshman Matt Feeley led the way for the Spiders at the No. 3 spot, defeating Jon Maula 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Chester Murray recorded his second straight singles victory of the tournament, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Petrusky.
