
Men's Tennis Falls To Hampton, 5-2

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond fell short, 5-2, to Hampton on Friday night in men's tennis action in Richmond, Va. Doug Banker and Michael Sommer led the Spiders, notching wins in singles and doubles action in the Spiders loss.
While Richmond dropped at No. 1 and 3 doubles, Sommer and Banker paired up to give the Spiders a win at the No. 2 doubles position. They then moved on to singles action, pulling off the Spiders' only singles wins of the night, at the No. 3 and four spots. Banker defeated Sung-kwon Baek, while Sommer topped Andre Nogueira as the Spiders dropped to 1-5 on the season.
The Spiders will resume action in Fredericksburg, Va. next Sat., Feb. 10 with Mary Washington and George Mason.
