UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team defeated American University, 5-2, in its final regular season match Tuesday afternoon. The Spiders' record improves to 9-13, with the win and have won their last two matches.
Richmond swept through the three doubles matches and claimed the team point. David Donn (East Longmeadow, Mass.) posted a win at the number one spot in singles action, before American tallied wins at the two and three positions. The Spiders clinched the victory when they won the four, five and six position singles matches.
The Spiders are back in action when they compete in the Atlantic 10 tournament April 8-10 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
