Men's Tennis Falls to the Citadel, 5-2

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team fell, 5-2, to the Citadel Wednesday afternoon, in the conclusion of Tuesday's match that was postponed due to rain. The Spiders' three-game win streak was snapped and they post a 4-11 overall record and the Bulldogs improved to 6-5 on the season.
The Bulldogs swept all three doubles matches and a singles match to give them the lead. Junior Matthew Cabana (Charlotte, N.C.) won his singles match, 6-1, 6-4, in the number three position and Eric Hage (Dallas, Tex.) tallied a singles win in the number six spot to give the Spiders their two points.
The Spiders return to the courts this afternoon when they take-on Charleston Southern at 2 p.m. in South Carolina.
