Columbia, S.C. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team fell to 24th-ranked South Carolina, 6-1, Saturday afternoon in Columbia, S.C. The Spiders' record stands at 1-10 on the season, while the Gamecocks extend their winning streak to seven and post a 7-0 overall record.
South Carolina won the doubles point and claimed the early 1-0 lead. Sophomore Eric Hage (Dallas, Tex.) posted Richmond's lone point when he defeated Rob Cassidy, 6-4, 6-4, at the number five spot.
The Spiders return to action when they travel to face Wofford Sunday, February 22, 2004 at 11 a.m.
