Harrisonburg, Va. - Richmond won four of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches to defeat James Madison 5-2 in women's tennis action in Harrisonburg.
Sophomore Vanessa Bagnato (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) won at #3 singles 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore Monika Peets (Tallinn, Estonia/Tallinn Science) won 6-1, 6-2 at #4 singles. Sophomore Casey Cohen (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Bolles) won at #5 singles 6-4, 6-2. Freshman Patty Devlin (York, Pa./York Suburban) won 7-5, 6-4.
Bagnato and Peets combined to win #2 doubles 8-2. Cohen and junior Michele Koclanes (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) teamed up to win #3 doubles 8-6.
Richmond will host VCU on Wednesday, April 11 at 2:30 p.m.
