Nicole Lovejoy is in her 14th year as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Richmond in 2024-25. Lovejoy is responsible for overseeing the medical care of the Spider baseball team.
Prior to working at the University of Richmond, she received her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts in 2011. While in Amherst, she worked with baseball and field hockey programs as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
Lovejoy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in 2009. As an athletic training student at Northeastern, she worked with the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s ice hockey teams.
Lovejoy is certified with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and is a licensed athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has completed the SFDN1 Dry Needling course and is a Certified M1 Graston Technique Provider. She is also a Certified Armcare Specialist and an AASDN Nutrition Specialist. A native of Essex Junction, VT, she currently resides in Richmond.
