Fahed (fay-HEAD) was promoted to Director of Program Development in May 2023 and added Assistant Coach to his title in September 2023. In his current role, Fahed serves as the team's liaison to the Academics, Business, and Compliance offices of Richmond Athletics while directing recruiting operations, focusing on player skill development, and supervising student managers.
In his first season as an assistant coach, Fahed helped the Spiders to a share of the 2024 regular season Atlantic 10 title, the program's first since joining the conference in 2001. Richmond finished 23-10, matching the sixth-most wins in school history, and went 15-3 in A-10 play, setting a program record for conference wins in a season.
Fahed first joined the Richmond coaching staff as Video Coordinator in June 2022 after spending the 2021-22 season as a graduate assistant at James Madison, his alma mater. Fahed managed all aspects of the team's video operations and also contributed to opponent scouting and player recruitment as the 2022-23 Spiders posted wins over NCAA Tournament teams Drake and FDU in the regular season and defeated Massachusetts by 33 points in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, the second-largest margin of victory in the event's history.
Fahed earned an undergraduate degree in Business Management from JMU in 2021. He served as a team manager for the Dukes men's basketball team for four years and as a graduate assistant for one season. He earned his Master's degree from JMU in 2023.
