Prep: A four-year letterman and three-year starter on the hill for The Potomac School baseball program. Witkop helped the Panthers to a 20-5 record in 2023, the most victories in program history, while collecting MAC regular season and tournament titles. He has also twice garnered All-MAC honors, while being named VISAA First Team All-State and earning Honorable Mention Washington Post All-Metro accolades.

- Finished with a 11.12 ERA after allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits, three walks and two strikeouts
- Made his collegiate debut against Penn State, allowing one unearned run on two hits in an inning of work

- Tossed a scoreless frame against Coppin State, working around two hits and a walk with a strikeout
