- Finished second in the 800m run at the GMU Winter Fiesta with a time of 2:11.35.
- At the Raleigh Relays, won the fifth section of the 800m with a time of 2:08.52
- Posted a personal best 4:33.27 to finish third in the 1500m at the 55th Colonial Relays
- Took third in the 800m with a time of 2:08.38 at the 55th Colonial Relays
- Crossed the finish line in fourth-place in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:07.03 at the 53rd Tennessee Relays
- Teamed up with Kendra Smither, Maria Acosta and Brooke Fazio to win the 4x800m with a time of 8:39.88, breaking the UR program record as well as posting the nation’s best time of the season. As the third leg, O’Connell turned in a time of 2:10.32.
- Took fifth in section five of the 800m race at the UVA Challenge, posting a time of 2:07.42
- Advanced to the A-10 finals of the 800m with a time of 2:10.93 to win the second section
- Finished fourth in the 800m finals of the A-10 Championship with a time of 2:07.34
- Won the Atlantic 10 Championship 4x800 relay, working with Kendra Smither, Maria Acosta and Kate McAndrew to post a time of 8:53.78. Posted an anchor leg time of 2:11.42
- Finished fifth in the 800m finals at the ECAC Championship, turning in a time of 2:07.51
- Won the 4x800m relay at the ECAC Championship, working with Elizabeth Stockman, Kendra Smither and Kate McAndrew to wrap up the indoor and outdoor seasons undefeated in the event with a time of 8:52.66. Closed out the relay with a time of 2:11.01
- Wrapped up the season at the NCAA East Prelims, posting a time of 2:10.86 to finish eighth in the sixth section of the 800m.

- Opened the season with a sixth-place finish in the 600m (1:41.48) at the CNU Holiday Open
- Posted a time of 1:18.46 in the 500m at the VMI Keydet Invitational
- Turned in a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:20.99 at the Patriot Games and helped the 4x400 relay to a sixth-place finish (4:06.42)
- Collected a silver medal and a personal best at the Camel City Invitational in the 600m with a time of 1:39.75.
- Finished fourth in the 500m with a personal best time of 1:14.25 at the VMI Indoor Classic
