RICHMOND, Va. — Junior Maya Beasley won a pair of Golfer of the Week awards and Addie Doroh was named a Rookie of the Week when the Atlantic 10 announced its weekly golf honors for the previous three weeks on Thursday. Both Beasley and Doroh were honored for their finishes at the City of Oaks Collegiate in March, and Beasley added an additional award for her performance at the Terps Invitational in the first week of April.
Beasley has now won four A-10 Women's Golfer of the Week honors this season, including three this spring. She was also named Golfer of the Week for the week of March 13 following her tie for ninth at the Low Country Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C. She finished one better at the City of Oaks Collegiate in Raleigh, N.C. at the end of March, leading Richmond with an eighth-place finish and picking up another A-10 award. She again led UR at the Terps Invitational, tying for 25th and earning her third A-10 Women's Golfer of the Week honor in the last five weeks.
Doroh has also earned three weekly A-10 Awards this spring after collecting her third weekly honor for her 16th-place finish at the City of Oaks Collegiate, second among Spiders at the event. Doroh is now a five-time A-10 Women's Golfer Rookie of the Week honoree this season after picking up a pair of awards in the fall.
Beasley and Doroh will lead the Spiders lineup as Richmond attempts to defend its conference title at next week's Atlantic 10 Women's Golf Championship at Evermore Resort in Orlando, Fla. from April 20-22.
