ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Abby Lee and Lucy Webber earned their first singles wins of the spring season as the University of Richmond women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Navy on Friday afternoon at the Tose Family Tennis Center. The loss moves the Spiders to 0-3 on the spring season, while the Midshipmen improved to 3-0.

How It Happened
Navy claimed the opening point by sweeping all three doubles matches. The Midshipmen earned wins on courts two, one and three to take a 1-0 advantage heading into singles play.

In singles, Lee got Richmond on the board with a 6-2, 6-4 victory on court five, marking her first win of the spring. Webber followed shortly after with a three-set win on court six, defeating Anna Jordaan 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to even her spring record.

Navy secured the remaining four singles points with wins on courts one through four to clinch the match. Elizabeth Novak pushed Nicole Fu (Navy) to a three-set match but fell 6-1, 5-7, 6-3, while rookie Beatriz Guerra also dropped a three-set battle to Grace Li (Navy) on court four.
