SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The University of Richmond women's soccer team scored early and leaned on its defensive shape the rest of the match to secure a 1-0 road victory over Wofford Sunday afternoon at Snyder Field. The win pushed the Spiders to 3-1 on the season while the Terriers dropped to 0-4.
Goal

How it Happened

Richmond controlled much of the possession in the first half and carried a 3-2 edge in shots into the break. The Spiders continued to apply pressure in the second half, generating five more attempts, while their back line, led by captain Gwen Howell, kept the Terriers from capitalizing on their late pressure.
