Summer Series: Emma Kroneberger
07/23/2025 | Women's Lacrosse
Hi everyone! I am writing from Baltimore, Maryland, where I have been busy all summer with many different things.Â
Â
Our Europe trip as a team was the best way to start the summer! Exploring new countries, learning about their cultures, and eating the most amazing food, all with my best friends. What more could you ask for? It was the perfect trip to relax after finishing the school year and to get ready for the rest of summer.
Â
Three days after returning from our trip, I started my summer internship in Columbia, MD. I have been interning with Amergis Healthcare Staffing as a Human Resources Intern. My job has mostly been researching and setting up meetings with potential partners that help people with disabilities find work. So far, that has been the most rewarding, since a couple of the companies that I found may potentially be a good fit. I also help in the Talent Acquisition department by emailing and calling potential candidates to work at the many locations Amergis has across the country. My last 3 weeks at Amergis will be very busy. In addition to my daily tasks, I have an executive luncheon planned, my summer intern capstone presentation, and a night out at an Orioles game with the Amergis team. This internship has taught me that a successful company is very similar to a successful team. Everyone needs to work well with each other, have excellent communication skills, and be a hard worker.Â
Â
To relax this summer, I have been going to Bethany Beach, Delaware, almost every weekend. Bethany is my second home, and spending time there with my family and friends has always been my favorite part about summer! Next week is my family's annual Cousins Beach Week, where all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents on my mom's side stay in Bethany with us. This family event has been happening annually since before I was even born. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Speaking of family, this past weekend I attended my cousin Shayne's wedding. She played lacrosse at Davidson, so we have a little bit of a Spider/Wildcat rivalry going on. She is the first of my cousins to get married, so it was exciting and surreal for all of us to be there. I had the best time dancing and celebrating with my family.Â
There aren't many other things I have done this summer other than spending time with my friends, working out, reading, or watching the many TV shows/movies I indulge in. This summer has flown by too fast, but I am super excited to get back to Richmond and begin my senior season. Richmond has become my home away from home, and I could not imagine having a better team. I am excited to get back to work and for us to get back that A10 championship title!Â
Â
Next up is Charlotte Edwards, who will be talking about her summer on the West and East coasts and her internship with Robertson Stephens in NYC!
Â
Thanks for reading and Roll Ders!
