Hi Spider Fans! I am currently writing to you from Northern Virginia, specifically in the town of Fairfax where I am from. I have been home for a few weeks now after we got home from our trip abroad and have been kept busy by numerous activities and jobs.
Our team abroad trip was over the days May 28th-June 6th and we visited Amsterdam and San Sebastian, Spain. We spent 5 days in Amsterdam exploring the city and playing lacrosse with the Dutch National Team. One of my favorite parts of Amsterdam was the history behind the city. We visited the Anne Frank House and a Cheese and Clog Farm. I also loved getting to play with the Dutch team and meet more people who love lacrosse from different parts of the world.
San Sebastian, Spain was an amazing place to visit as a team. We did two hikes during our time there, and they were gorgeous. I loved learning more about the sports that San Sebastian's culture followed and trying so many new dishes of food on our Pintxos Tour!

My favorite part of the trip was being able to experience all of this with my teammates and support staff. This was my first time in Europe (definitely not my last), and an amazing "last hurrah" with the 2025 Richmond Women's Lacrosse team.Â
Â
Once I landed back in the states, I started working at my local Lacrosse Unlimited as a part time saleswoman. I have been working at this store since high school and have been shopping here since I started playing lacrosse. I string sticks, work the sales floor, and tell others about new products. Alongside that, I worked at the Triple Threat Lacrosse camp for a few days and coached Stars 5th/6th grade light blue. It has been so much fun playing with the younger kids and helping them learn new skills and grow in the sport.Â
Â

During June, I also started my second season as a dive coach for Army Navy Country Club. I grew up swimming and diving for 15 years, and now I spend my mornings teaching kids new dives and my evenings going to the meets and cheering them on.Â

Even though my summer has been action packed so far, it has been so great to be home and see all my hometown friends and family. I love being able to hang out with my pets and relax by the pool with my family and enjoy the company of loved ones.Â
I do miss Richmond a lot and the people in Richmond, but being able to spend a majority of my summer at home has been such a blessing and I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to go to Europe as a team. I am counting down the days until move in day comes, but until then I will pass the next summer series off to Jemma, who spent more time in Spain after we left! Go Spiders!!
