
Spiders Post Six First-Place Finishes at CNU

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The University of Richmond's women's track and field team and members of the men's cross country team competed at the New Captains Classic hosted by Christopher Newport University.
The Spiders had six first-place finishes by Ashley Bolesh, Allison Colflesh, Ava LoVoulo, Addie Cohen, Charlotte Hudson, William Marhold and John Vogel.
In the 400 meter hurdles, Bolesh ran this event for the first time in her collegiate career and finished with a time of 1:02.67.
Allison Colflesh finished with a time of 2:16.56 in the 800 meter.
LoVoulo finished with a personal best time of 4:42.05 in the 1500 meter. She also took a second place finish in the 800 meter with a personal best time of 2:18.41.
Running the event for the first time in her collegiate career, Cohen finished with a time of 11:32.95 in the steeple chase.
Hudson finished with a time of 18:15.64 in the 5k.
On the men's side, William Marhold finished with a personal best time of 1:56.18 in the 800 meter. John Vogel finished with a time of 10:05.37 in the steeple chase.
In the 1500 meter, three Spiders finished with personal best times. Finishing second, Taylor Healy crossed the line with a time of 4:00.87. Jason Latina finished sixth with a time of 4:04.05. Carter Bruns finished eighth with a time of 4:07.66.
Richmond returns on the track on April 24-26 for the Penn Relays.

Running the event for the first time in her collegiate career, Cohen finished with a time of 11:32.95 in the steeple chase.
Hudson finished with a time of 18:15.64 in the 5k.
On the men's side, William Marhold finished with a personal best time of 1:56.18 in the 800 meter. John Vogel finished with a time of 10:05.37 in the steeple chase.
In the 1500 meter, three Spiders finished with personal best times. Finishing second, Taylor Healy crossed the line with a time of 4:00.87. Jason Latina finished sixth with a time of 4:04.05. Carter Bruns finished eighth with a time of 4:07.66.
