Dunham Earns Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Richmond, Va. – University of Richmond defenseman Mitchell Dunham has been named this week's Under Armour Atlantic 10 Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Dunham led Richmond's defense in an 11-6 win over High Point, anchoring the unit with six ground balls and five caused turnovers—matching his season high set earlier this year against Georgetown.
He currently ranks ninth in the nation and second in the A-10 in caused turnovers per game (2.09). Thanks to Dunham's impact, the Spiders rank second nationally and first in the A-10 in clearing percentage (0.916), while also ranking third in the country and first in the conference in caused turnovers per game (11.09). Richmond boasts the seventh-best scoring defense in the nation—and second-best in the A-10—allowing just 8.36 goals per game.
Dunham's 28 caused turnovers so far this season rank tenth all-time for the Spiders and his five caused turnovers from two separate occasions sit at eighth in the program's record book.
Dunham and the Spiders close out the regular-season home schedule Saturday, April 19, when it hosts UMass at noon.
