Spiders Wrap Up Strong Finishes at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – The University of Richmond's women's track and field team and members of the men's cross country team competed at the Duke Invitational this weekend. The Spiders wrapped up the meet with seven personal-best times and five top-20 finishes.
Friday
Gabrielle Cummings finished 26th in the 100 meter with a time of 12.20.
In the 1,500 meter, Dylan Miller led the Spiders with a personal-best time of 4:31.14 and finished 39th.
In the 5,000 meter, Mollie Fenn improved her personal-best time by more than a minute, finishing 12th in 16:53.35. Hallie Muniz ran the event for the first time in her collegiate career and finished 14th in 16:58.94.
Representing the men's cross country team, William Marhold finished 89th in the 1,500 meter with a personal-best time of 3:58.53. Joshua Gray placed 108th in 4:02.38.
Saturday
In the 400 meter, Virginia Beringer and Cummings tied for 17th with a time of 55.56. Cummings set a personal best in the event. Molly Flanagan also recorded a personal best, finishing 33rd in 56.76.
Morgan Lyons led Richmond in the 800 meter, finishing 28th in 2:10.61. Caroline Donohoe placed 20th in 2:11.24, and Lindsay Colflesh set a personal best, finishing 23rd in 2:11.63.
In the 200 meter, Cummings finished 35th in 24.94.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team finished seventh with a time of 3:44.17.
Cooper Groat finished 12th in the 800 meter with a personal-best time of 1:51.35.
Richmond returns to action April 16–19 in Azusa, California, for the Bryan Clay Invitational.
