Wise, Mikusova Have Record-Breaking Day at Raleigh Relays

RICHMOND, Va. — Members of the University of Richmond's track and field team competed on the final day of the Raleigh Relays. Setting new school records were Molly Wise and Darya Mikusova.
Wise won the long jump with a personal best mark of 6.32 meters. With her mark, she set a new school record that was previously held by Kayla Woods (6.21 meters) in 2021.
Mikusova finished seventh with a time of 59.95 in the 400-meter hurdles. Setting a new school record, Mikusova broke the record that was set in 2019 by Haley Berkeley (1:01.89).
The Richmond 4x400-meter relay finished 20th with a time of 3:48.06.
In the 200-meter, Gabrielle Cummings finished 34th with a personal best time of 24.44. Nina Lavell finished with a time of 25.57 and placed 102nd.
Four Spiders competed in the 800-meter run. Morgan Lyons led Richmond with a time of 2:10.19 and finished 47th. Virginia Beringer placed 56th with a personal best time of 2:10.68. Molly Flanagan finished 72nd with a time of 2:11.93. Dylan Miller finished with a time of 2:12.65 and placed 81st.
At the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational at William & Mary, several Spiders had a successful day.
Cameron Whidbee finished second in the 200 meter with a personal best time of 56.67. In the 3k, Mia Paolino (10:33.33), Ava LoVuolo (10:43.14) and Ashley Minns (11:05.53) go finished in the first, second and fourth spot.
Running unattached, Cooper Groat won the 800 meter with a time of 1:52.08 and Josh Gray (1:57.53) and Taylor Healy (1:58.67) place third and fourth.
Richmond is back in action on April 4-5 for the Colonial Relays and the VertKlasse Meeting.
