
Spiders Compete in Day 2 of National Invitational Championships

OCALA, Fla. -Â Â On the second day of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational Championship, six members of the University of Richmond's swimming team competed at the Fast Facility Friday.Â

In the finals, Richmond's 800 free relay finished sixth with a time of 7:20.54. In the 200 medley relay finished 28th with a time of 1:43.33.

In the 100 back, freshman Hannah Wieczorek finished 41st with a time of 56.01. Junior Caroline Weldon finished 47th with a time of 56.25.Â

Sophomore Presley Baber finished 40th in the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.58. Freshman Gabbie Primiano finished with a time of 1:03.95 and placed 45th.

In the 100 fly, freshman Lena Amare finished 36th with a time of 55.93.Â

In the 400 IM, junior Katie Chignell finished with a time of 4:18.20 and placed 30th.
