Nwakalor Tabbed Under Armour Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Wednesday, the Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly awards. Her record-breaking performance last week earned sophomore Melissa Nwakalor the Under Armour Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week honor.

A native of Columbia, Md., Nwakalor had a standout performance in the water at the Cavalier Invite. Setting a new school and conference record, she won the 50-free preliminaries with a time of 21.98. This is the second time this season that Nwakalor has achieved this feat. Earlier in the season, she set the previous school and A-10 record at the Patriot Invitational with a time of 22.28.
