
Primiano Competes at Speedo Winter Junior Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. –  In a four-day event, freshman Gabbie Primiano represented the University of Richmond's women's swimming and diving team at the USA Swimming East Speedo Winter Junior Championships. Primiano's events took place Thursday through Saturday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

At the championship, Primiano's best event was the 100 breast. Finishing at 1:02.41 in the prelims, she qualified for the C final. In the final, she placed 19th overall after touching the wall at 1:02.78. Her time in the prelims puts Primiano fifth in the top 10 all-time in the Spider record book.Â

She also finished at 2:04.95 in the 200 IM prelims and 2:17.86Â in the 200 breast.Â
The Spiders return in the new year as they welcome Villanova to the Robins Center for Senior Day on Saturday, January 18 at 9 a.m.Â
