
Five Spiders Compete at the College National Open Water Championship

MIAMI, Fla. – The University of Richmond's women's swimming and diving team competed at Biscayne Bay for the CSCAA College National Open Water Championship today. With a sixth-place team finish, junior Natalie Stuart led the Spiders.

Finishing in the top 20, Stuart finished at 1:07:28.43 at a 21:44 pace and placed 16th out of 111 participants.Â

Freshman Carys Edgar finished at 1:09.35.66 at a 22:25 pace to place 29th. Sophomore Kaitlyn Bauer placed 39th and finished 1:09:49.93 at a 22:29 pace. Sophomore Erin Budde finished at 1:09:51.08 at a 22:29 pace to place 40th. Junior Katie Chignell placed 42ndat 1:10:02.60 at a 22:33 pace.Â

The Spiders return in the new year as they welcome Villanova to the Robins Center for Senior Day on Saturday, January 18 at 9 a.m.Â
