Spiders Slip Against VCU at Home

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Spiders endured the wind and rain as they hosted VCU Sunday afternoon at President's Field. After going into halftime with Richmond trailing just 1-0, the Rams added a pair of second half goals to win 3-0.
The Spiders move to 1-8-3 (0-3-2 A-10) this season while VCU improves to 5-1-7 (3-0-2 A-10).
Richmond tallied four shots in the game including two from Emma Coleman and one each from Jessie Prillaman and Marisa Snee.
Goalkeeper Taylor Montague made three saves and Casey Merz anchored the backline, playing the full 90 minutes.
Up next, the Spiders travel to George Mason Sunday, Oct. 9 for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
