ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Richmond women's tennis team took things to the wire on Saturday afternoon against top-seeded VCU, but the Spiders couldn't log the win, falling 4-2 in the Atlantic 10 Semifinal Round.

The Rams took the doubles point despite a commanding 6-2 win on court 1 from Kiana Marshall and Emily Dunbar.

Dunbar tied things up with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Anna Rasmussen at No. 1, before Ana Ramirez put the Spiders ahead, 2-1, with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Sofia Sualehe on court 6.

Despite narrow three-set matches, the Spiders couldn't get it done, dropping matches on courts 5, 4 and 2.

The Spiders finish the season with a 9-12 record, going 7-2 to end the year.
