
Women's Tennis Takes Out Saint Joseph's, 5-2

AMBLER, Pa. - The Richmond Spiders women's tennis team won a tough 5-2 decision to Atlantic 10 rival Saint Joseph's at the Upper Dublin Sports Center. With both teams clawing for every point, Friday night's match did not end until 1 a.m. in the morning.
"Some of the best singles we've played all year." head coach Mark Wesselink said. "We fought for every point."
The Spiders won five of the six singles flights with Anna Abadias Morales knocking off the Hawk's top player in three sets (6-3, 3-6, 6-3). Gaby Rosales won the third flight with relative ease, while Brittany Boys and Kelsey Williams each took their first set by tiebreak before cruising to set two wins.
Emily Gitman and Gaby Rosales won their doubles match, the SJU was able to pull out their first two flights to win the doubles point.
