
Women's Tennis Christens Spring Season At Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Richmond women's tennis team opened its spring season against the Maryland Terps and fell 5-0 at the Tennis Center at College Park Sunday afternoon.
The Terps set the tone early, winning the doubles point by taking the first two matches.
Anna Abadias Morales was the only Spider to take Maryland to a three-set match. The sophomore took Welma Luss to three sets when she took the first set 6-2, but then later fell 6-2, 10-8 on court two.
The Spiders will be back in action Friday, Jan. 31 when they take on Villanova at the Country Club of Virginia at 5 p.m.
