HARRISONBURG, Va. -
Richmond beat in-state rival James Madison, 5-2, Monday afternoon in Harrisonburg. The match marked the Atlantic 10 Champion Spiders' final tune-up before NCAA Regionals next month.
The win improved Richmond to 14-5 on the season.
Richmond won the doubles point after tight wins at No. 1 and 2 spots. Isabel Arana and Elizabeth Sims won handily at No. 3 doubles with an 8-3 victory.
In singles, Richmond won four of six matches to secure the team win.
The A-10 champion Spiders await their opponent in next month's NCAA Tennis Championship regionals.
