The Richmond women's tennis team fell to Maryland 6-1 Saturday evening in College Park, Md.
Richmond's Sydney Grant picked up the Spider point at No. 5 singles with a 7-6, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over Lexi Brand of Maryland.
The Spiders travel to St. Louis, Mo. next weekend where they are favored to win the A-10 Tournament.
