BLACKSBURG, Va. -
The Richmond women's tennis team competed in the Hokie Invitational this past weekend in Blacksburg, Va. Richmond dominated the doubles, going 12-2 in pair play.
"Our doubles play was impressive," said head coach Mark Wesselink. "Going 12-2 validates all the hard work we put into practicing those skills. I was also impressed with Kelly Tidwell and Elizabeth Sims' strong singles play in taking third place in their flights. After all the injuries last year it was difficult to get a read on just how strong we were. We still have plenty of work to do but this team's chemistry and talent could put up a lot of wins."
