
The Spiders Win Third Straight At Longwood

FARMVILLE, Va. - The Richmond women's tennis team won its third straight match at Longwood Saturday, 5-2. The Spiders finished a successful week earning consecutive wins over James Madison, Georgetown and the Lancers. In singles competition Richmond won four-of-six matches and took two-of-three matches in doubles action.
The Spiders' number one player, Pamela Duran, led the way taking a big win over Longwood's Jakab, 6-1, 6-0. The junior also won as a duo with partner Ashlee Vosters taking down Jakab and Huddleton, 8-1.
Also earning wins in singles actions for the Spiders was Ashlee Vosters and freshman Jelena Zivanovic in doubles play to take down Melson and Edwards of Longwood for the Spiders.
Richmond heads to East Carolina Wednesday, March 26 for a 2 p.m. ET match against the Pirates.
