No. 71 Women's Tennis Concludes Regular Season With A Win Over Old Dominion

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The No. 71 University of Richmond women's tennis team rounded out their regular season on Tuesday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs on the University of Richmond Campus. Beatrice Grasu, Robin Carter, Jessica Hubbard all notched in singles victories to help the Spiders improve to 11-7 on the year and 3-0 in the Atlantic 10.
The Wolfgram/Hubbard duo led at No. 1 doubles, taking an 8-2 victory over Enlich and Santos and, although Grasu and Carter paired up at second doubles and lost a hard-fought battle to Haarhoff and Luis, Pamela Duran and Ashlee Vosters were able to pick up an 8-5 victory at third doubles to give the Spiders a 1-0 advantage going into singles action.
Grasu led the Spiders in singles action with solid tennis as she took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Enlich at first singles. While Duran and Vosters fell at the No. 2 and 5 spots, respectively, Carter picked up a win at third singles, Wolfgram won at fourth singles, and Hubbard earned a win at the No. 6 spot as the Spiders took a 4-2 lead in singles play and secured a 5-2 victory over the Lady Monarchs.
The Spiders will compete for their third consecutive conference championship this weekend, April 21-23 at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, PA.
