
Women's Tennis Overcome by Maryland, 6-1

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team was defeated by the University of Maryland, 6-1, Saturday afternoon in a match played at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. The Spiders' record falls to 3-5 for the season.
The Terrapins claimed the doubles point and the early 1-0 lead. Freshman Robin Carter (Mendham, N.J.) posted the Spiders only point when she defeated Jennifer Dent, 4-6, 7-5, (10-8) in the number four position.
Richmond leaves for Florida on Wednesday, March 6 where they will compete in a spring break tournament.
