Fred Hardy Track Dedication Ceremony

A day of recognition was celebrated Saturday, September 6th as the
University of Richmond named its track after legendary head coach Fred
Hardy. Hardy, a member of Richmond's Athletic Hall of Fame, coached the
Spiders track and field squad for 35 years (1950-85).
During his tenure, Hardy coached 45 men's All-Americans and 20 women's All-Americans. He also led two Olympians and won three NCAA national championships.
