Richmond Women's Tennis Tops GW, 5-2

WASHINGTON, DC - The University of Richmond women's tennis team defeated George Washington 5-2 in Atlantic 10 action on Saturday afternoon at the GW Mount Vernon Athletic Complex. The Spiders, now 1-1, won four singles matches and all three doubles contests.
In singles action, the Spiders earned three points in straight sets and freshman Katie Karhohs (East Grand Rapids, Mich.) won a hard-fought match (6-2, 6-7, 6-4) at the number four position to put the Spiders ahead.
Richmond returns to action on Saturday, February 15, when they face Maryland at 12:30 p.m.
