Sirc was promoted to the Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations in June of 2021 and has been with the University of Richmond since 2013. She is responsible for developing and managing the budgets of Richmond’s 17 varsity sports and various administrative units, scholarships, and restricted funds. She also oversees all required financial reporting for the NCAA and Richmond's membership conferences. Additionally, Sirc serves as the department liaison to Human Resources and supervises both Equipment and Video Operations for the Spider Athletics.
Sirc joined Richmond Athletics in 2015 as the Assistant Business Manager and was promoted to Business Manager in 2018. In these roles, she was responsible for many of the financial functions of the Business Office, managing Human Resources, and overseeing UR's camp and clinic programs.
Prior to coming to Richmond, Sirc worked in campus recreation at Loyola University Maryland as the Assistant Director of Recreational Sports, where she managed a competitive club sport program as well as a robust intramural program. She began her professional career in financial development at US Lacrosse, the national governing body of the sport, in Baltimore, Md.
Sirc earned her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2004, where she was a dual-sport varsity athlete in field hockey and lacrosse. On the lacrosse field, Sirc was a four-year starter and two-time all-conference and all-region attacker for the Seahawks. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in educational administration at St. Lawrence University in 2006, where she also served as the assistant women’s lacrosse coach for the Saints. Sirc completed a post-graduate certificate in accounting from the University of Virginia in 2023.
Additionally, Sirc is a Collegiate Select certified women’s lacrosse official and serves as Treasurer of the Central Virginia Women’s Lacrosse Association and the Virginia State Representative for the Collegiate Women’s Lacrosse Officials Association. She officiates at both the high school and college levels, and has called several conference, region, and state championships in her career.
Originally from the Baltimore, Md. area, Kate lives in Richmond with her husband Chris and their children CJ and Margot.
