Jason Vida has been a member of Richmond Athletics since 2017 and has served as the department's Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications since October 2024. In addition to overseeing Athletics Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Vida serves as the primary contact for Richmond's Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, and Women's Golf teams.
Prior to joining Richmond, Vida worked at ESPN in Bristol, Ct. for nine years. From 2014-17, he was a producer of the network's NFL studio shows, including NFL Live and NFL Primetime. From 2010-13, he served as ESPN's NFL research specialist, managing the network's professional football statistical analysis and on-air graphics operations. Vida started at ESPN in 2008 in the network's Stats & Information Group, working as a researcher on SportsCenter, Monday Night Football, and other programs. He is a three-time Sports Emmy nominee in the Outstanding Studio Show category.
Vida worked as a PR assistant for the Miami Dolphins from 2007-08 after earning his Master's degree in Sports Administration from Temple University. He received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from The College of William & Mary, where he was a two-year member of the Tribe football program.
Vida lives in Richmond with his wife, Christina, his son, Morris, and his daughter, Sydney.
