Jalynn Spaulding joined Richmond Athletics in a full-time capacity in May 2023 after working with Spider Performance & Development as a graduate assistant during the 2022-23 school year.
Spaulding has collected Real Colors Facilitator certification to train staff and new student-athletes in and how to incorporate.
Spaulding earned her Master's degree from the VCU Center for Sport Leadership in 2023, one year after graduating from Virginia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, & Recreation and a minor in Sports Management.
At VSU, Spaulding played for the women's basketball team and was a two-time President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She was also the school's nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year in 2022.
Spaulding is a native of Lawrenceville, N.J. and currently resides in Richmond.
