Highfield has been in his current role since he returned to Richmond in March 2025 after previously serving as a graduate assistant in the Richmond Ticket Office during the 2022-23 school year. Highfield is a 2022 graduate of Pennsylvania's Westminster College, where he majored in marketing and sports management. He earned a Master's degree from VCU's Center for Sports Leadership in 2023, after which he worked at VCU as a sales and service consultant for Playfly Aspire until re-joining the University of Richmond. Highfield is a native of Oil City, Pennsylvania.
