Sara Spencer serves as an Associate Athletic Trainer at the University of Richmond, responsible for overseeing the medical care of women’s basketball and women’s golf programs.
Spencer joined the Spiders after a one-year stint at Presbyterian College in South Carolina, where she was responsible for the medical care of women’s basketball and football.
Spencer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Western Carolina University in 2014 and went on to earn her Master of Science degree from West Virginia University in 2016. While in Morgantown, she worked with Fairmont State University athletics as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
Spencer is certified with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and is a licensed to practice as an athletic trainer in the state of Virginia. A native of Granite Falls, North Carolina, she currently resides in Richmond.
