Jeanine Radice enters her seventh season with the Richmond women's basketball program and her second as associate head coach in 2025-26.
Radice was instrumental in helping the Spiders deliver a historic 2024-25 season that featured the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament victory and back-to-back outright Atlantic 10 regular season titles for the first time in program history. Richmond finished the season 28-7 overall and 17-1 in A-10 play, setting a program-best 17-game winning streak and notching key non-conference wins over Fairfield, Oklahoma State, and Columbia. The Spiders were one of just three mid-majors to finish in the top 75 of the NET and win a game in the NCAA Tournament, defeating No. 9 Georgia Tech before falling to No. 1 UCLA in the second round. Richmond’s non-conference strength of schedule ranked 22nd nationally (Warren Nolan), and the team posted a combined 12-2 home record and 11-1 road record.
Radice played a vital role in the development of A-10 Player of the Year Maggie Doogan, All-Conference First Team selection Rachel Ullstrom, and Second Team honoree Addie Budnik. For her efforts and impact on the program’s sustained success, Radice was honored as the World Exposure Report's Mid-Major Assistant Coach of the Year.
In her first season as associate head coach in 2023-24, Radice helped guide the Spiders to the Atlantic 10 regular season and championship titles—marking Richmond's first A-10 championship and NCAA appearance since 1991. The Spiders finished on top of the A-10 standings en route to an NCAA Women's Basketball Championship appearance, where UR took on Duke in the opening round in Columbus, Ohio. Radice helped coach Ally Sweeney to A-10 Rookie of the Week honors during the season as well as Grace Townsend to A-10 All-Conference First Team, All-Championship Team honors and All-Academic accolades.
The Spiders finished the 2023-24 season leading the A-10 in assists per game, blocks per game, field goal percentage, scoring offense, three-pointers per game, three-point percentage and win percentage. Richmond finished the season with a NET ranking of 52, the highest in the A-10, and went 8-5 against NET top-100 teams and 15-0 against teams ranked below 150.
In 2022-23, Radice helped guide Richmond to another record-breaking campaign, highlighted by a 119-55 win over Longwood that set a new program scoring record at the Robins Center. That season also featured the team’s highest Atlantic 10 Championship seed since 2014-15. As the No. 5 seed, Richmond advanced to the A-10 semifinals for the first time since 2009 after knocking off Dayton and Fordham. The team also earned a bid to the WNIT, its first since 2015, and defeated Penn in the opening round before falling to Rhode Island in the second round.
The 2021-22 season saw the Spiders go 16-14 overall, including an eight-game win streak that featured a sweep at the Florida Atlantic Pre-Christmas Tournament and a buzzer-beater win over George Washington. Richmond also recorded a Power 5 victory over Virginia at the Cavalier Classic.
In 2020-21, Radice helped Richmond to a 13-9 record and a second-round win over George Washington in the Atlantic 10 Championship. She helped coach Kate Klimkiewicz to A-10 All-Conference honors that season.
Radice joined the Richmond staff ahead of the 2019-20 season, helping the program to a six-win improvement with a 15-17 record. She played a key role in developing the Spider guards, including Claire Holt, who doubled her scoring output and finished second on the team in both scoring and three-pointers made.
Radice brings over 30 years of experience at the Division I level. Prior to Richmond, she spent two seasons at Bucknell, helping the Bison to a Patriot League Tournament title and a school-record 28 wins in 2018-19. The Bison nearly upset No. 5 seed Florida State in the NCAA First Round that year. She coached standout guard Kate Walker to Second Team All-Conference and All-Tournament honors.
In her first season at Bucknell (2017-18), Radice helped the Bison to a 22-10 record and WNIT appearance. Three players earned All-Patriot League honors, including First Team guard Kate Walker and All-Rookie selection Abby Kapp.
Before Bucknell, Radice spent 21 seasons at Delaware, helping the Blue Hens to 408 wins, four NCAA Tournament appearances, and seven WNIT berths. Delaware went a combined 63-6 over the 2011-13 seasons, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2013 with wins over West Virginia and North Carolina. That stretch also included a 31-2 season in 2011-12 capped by the program’s first NCAA Tournament win.
Radice began her career with stints at Seton Hall and Marist, helping Seton Hall to NCAA Tournament appearances in 1994 and 1995.
A Staten Island, N.Y. native, Radice is a 1989 graduate of Fordham, where she starred in both basketball and cross country. A three-time First Team All-MAAC selection, she was the 1989 MAAC Player of the Year and still ranks second in school history in scoring (2,417 points) and field goal percentage (.475), while holding the program record for scoring average (21.8). She was inducted into the Fordham Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995.
