Nicole Lovejoy is in her eighth year as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Richmond in 2018-19. Lovejoy is responsible for overseeing the medical care of the field hockey and baseball teams.
Lovejoy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in 2009. As an athletic training student at Northeastern, she worked with the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s ice hockey teams.
Lovejoy went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts in 2011. While in Amherst, she worked with baseball and field hockey programs as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
Lovejoy is certified with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and is a licensed athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is also a certified M1 Graston Technique provider. A native of Essex Junction, Vt., she currently resides in Richmond.
