RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's basketball standout Maggie Doogan has been named one of 48 finalists for the 2026 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Team, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Wednesday.
Doogan is the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year and one of the nation's top performers this season, earning recognition among the sport's elite as part of the WBCA's selection process for its 10-member All-America team.
A senior forward from Broomall, Pa., Doogan has put together a dominant 2025-26 campaign, averaging 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from three-point range and 89.2 percent from the free throw line. She ranks 14th nationally in scoring and leads the Atlantic 10 in total points (692) and field goals made (240).
Doogan's all-around production has powered Richmond throughout the season, as she has also contributed 36 blocks and 31 steals while playing more than 34 minutes per game. She is one of the few players nationally to average at least 20 points while shooting better than 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range.
Her season has been highlighted by a historic 48-point performance against Davidson on Jan. 10, the highest single-game scoring output in NCAA Division I this season. She also recorded multiple 30-point games, including a 35-point effort at Saint Joseph's where she went a perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line.
Doogan has also pushed her career point total to 2,114 points, good for second all-time at Richmond.
WBCA NCAA Division I head coaches nominate and vote on the Coaches' All-America Team, with the top 12 players from each conference grouping advancing as finalists. The WBCA NCAA Division I Awards Committee will meet in Phoenix in conjunction with the annual WBCA Convention to select the 10-member All-America team, which will be announced April 2.
