WASHINGTON, DC – Senior guard Ally Sweeney has been named to the Preseason All-Atlantic 10 First Team, while the women's basketball team was picked eighth in the conference preseason poll, the league announced Monday at A10 Media Day.
Sweeney averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds in over 33 minutes per game during her junior season and collected A10 All-Conference Second Team accolades. The Sparta, N.J. native also led the league in total assist (149), including dishing out a career-high 13 helpers against Dayton.
This is Sweeney's second preseason league honors, building on last season's second team accolades. Joining Sweeney on the A10 First Team is Davidson's Katie Donovan, George Washington's Gabby Reynolds, Rhode Island's Sophia Vital, Saint Joseph's Gabby Casey and Saint Louis' Alyssa Koerkenmeier.
Season tickets and single-game tickets are now on sale for the 2026-27 season. Those with questions can call the Richmond Athletics Ticket Office at 1-877-SPIDER-1 to speak to a ticket office representative.
