Amy Stripling Named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC – Amy Stripling has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Stripling, in her first two starts, scored two goals on three shots to lead Richmond in scoring in the second week of the season. The Darwin, Australia native tallied her first collegiate goal against James Madison (Sept. 5) on a penalty corner, set up by Camila Daud and Jess McMeeking in the third quarter of the game.
Against #17 Liberty (Sept. 7), Stripling put the Spiders on the board in the second quarter when she converted on a penalty stroke in the 24th minute for her second goal of the weekend.
Richmond (1-3) returns to Crenshaw Field Friday to host Georgetown for a 3 PM contest on ESPN+.
